Appointment Booking — FAQ

Where do I book a Schengen visa appointment in Dubai?

Appointments are booked online through the visa centre representing your destination country — VFS Global (most countries), BLS International (Spain, Italy partial), or TLScontact (France, Switzerland, UK). Create an account on their website and select the earliest Dubai slot.

How early should I book?

Book 4–6 weeks before your travel date. During April–August and December, popular destinations like France, Italy and Spain can run out of slots; if so, try Abu Dhabi or pick a less-saturated destination.

What do I bring to the appointment?

Printed appointment confirmation, original passport, complete document file (form, photos, insurance, bookings, bank statements, salary certificate, cover letter), Emirates ID, and fee payment in cash or card.

Can I get an earlier appointment if I urgently need one?

Premium/Prime time appointment options are available at some centres for an extra fee. Slots also free up daily — keep checking, especially early morning. Some countries open new slots in batches every 2–4 weeks.

Do I need biometrics every time?

No. Biometrics taken in the last 59 months can be reused. If you have applied for any Schengen visa since 2015, the centre may waive the biometric step.
